Welcome to the Trainspotters' Guide to Buffy and Angel. What is this blog? Admittedly, it's a bit of an arcane topic. On the one hand, it's a blog devoted to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spinoff Angel, two of the very best TV shows in broadcast history. So nothing arcane there. But on the other hand, it's a frequently nitpicking analysis of certain 'stats' associated with the show. Which I accede is certainly not to everyone's taste.
A large part of this blog will be devoted to a project I undertook about two years ago, upon finding the transcripts to each episode of the two series online. I was driven to do a word-count of each of them: to determine how many words were spoken by each character in each episode. I really don't know why, except to say that I have an irrational interest in statistics. So, having done that, then, I have certain tables of statistics that, in varying formats, I will now present.
